"All through the long winter, I dream of my garden. On the first day of spring, I dig my fingers deep into the soft earth. I can feel its energy, and my spirits soar." -Helen Hayes
Spring has officially arrived here in Ithaca and I couldn't be happier. This is the last week that I am living in Ithaca. Like I mentioned in the changes blog, James and I are moving to Odessa on Saturday. I am excited yet anxious because I have never lived out in the country before, but I am sure with God and James by myside, anything and everything is possible. Living out in the country where you need a car to get everywhere versus living in a town where you don't need a car are two very different things. I know that I will miss Ithaca but on the other hand, I won't miss the fact that it's constantly loud and the fact that I won't be living in a apartment wasting my money on rent. I have nothing against living in a apartment, but James and I have been married for almost five years and you would think after being married for almost five years you would want to live in something other than an apartment. So this is what James and I are doing and his Father is just so happened to help us indirectly (by giving us a trailer and 1.5 acres of land for free).
I had yesterday and today off and you want to know what I did yesterday? In no particular order....Relax!!! Actually, I went bowling (which I felt that I sucked. Then again, this was the first time I have been bowling in 12 years!), went to the parks to feed the seagulls, geese ,and ducks , and went to church . And with the exception of church, I went bowling, out to lunch, and feeding the birds with some friends and I couldn't ask for anything more.
The best part about yesterday was going to church. Yesterday marked the last time that I will be going to church here in Ithaca so it was sad yet sentimental for me to go to church yesterday. I just hope that I find a good one around Odessa...wait, what am I talking about? There's nothing absolutley and I do mean absolutley nothing in Odessa (just a stoplight). So, I guess I will travel to Watkins Glen, New York (which is only about 20 minutes away from Odessa) to find a church.
Tomorrow, I go back to work after having two wonderful days off. I am not looking forward to it at all. Then again, I guess I am looking forward to it because this Friday, Kevin (this picture describes him because of the fact that he loves coffee; he drinks it like water) comes back from vacation!! Thank goodness! I can't explain it, but when he's not here, the Pharmacy isn't as fun or vibrant as it could be. What I mean by this is when Kevin is working, we (meaning the other technicians and the other Pharmacist) laugh, have fun, and enjoy ourselves (even if it means at the expense of the other Pharmacist).
Well, I am going to sign off for now. Until my next post, have a great week and God Bless!
