Happy Valentine's Day everyone! James is away doing some "major errands" so while he is away, I thought that I would write in here to celebrate Valentine's Day. Have you notice that there are so many scriptures about love in the Bible? I mean I am sure everyone knows the infamous 1 Corinthians verses 13:4-7: Love is paitent, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. But, there are more bibical scriptures about love than just that. Wondering what they are? I can tell you because I have been searching and found quite a few to be honest. Here's one from the Book of Timothy chapter 1 verse 5: Love comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Here's another one from the Book of Matthew chapter 1 verse 21: For where your treasure is,there your heart will be also. Here's one from the Book of Corinthians chapter 13 verses 7 through 8: Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
What is your favorite Bibical scripture about love? I have one and I think it's really nice, then again some people may think it's a selfish verse, but I don't. It's comes from the Book of Corinthians chapter 13 verses 1 through 13: I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell. I may have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have the faith needed to move mountains- but if I have no love, I am nothing. I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned- but if I have no love, this does me no good.
